Distinction

While I am what many could call a Calvinist, when it comes to certain points of doctrine, one of my favorite quotes comes from C.S. Lewis in his book, Mere Christianity.

[T]he best, perhaps the only, service I could do for my unbelieving neighbors was to explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times.

I have purposed to teach and defend beliefs that have been common to nearly all Christians at all times.
