Maggie saved Abbie’s “Share Day” bacon.

Every Thursday is Abbie’s share day.  I forget.  Today I forgot.  We got to school without a share for Abbie.  She started to break down and cry.

Maggie comes to the rescue.   “Abbie, I have something for you for Share today.”  Out of her pocket she pulls an article on a man who lost both legs and uses prosthetic limbs.  She read it to Abbie and explained it.

Abbie’s teacher told me it was the best Share of the school year so far.  The kids asked engaging questions and even spent some time walking on their knees, trying to see what it would be like without legs.

Way to go Maggie.  I’m one proud Papa.
